The Things That Separate Us

I knew the six plays in this program ("The Things That Separate Us") would be wildly disparate variations on the theme. The separations could be about lovers or politics or race or more abstract ideas that couldn't be summed up neatly in a graphic. Instead, I thought about an viscerally dramatic separation. Artistic director Christian Haines nixed my original concept [see below] as too dark. I see his point, and the pretty version was still fun to work on.
